Joewell is the leading brand in its home market, Japan, as well as having very strong market positions in many European, Asian and American markets. The company was established in 1917 under the name Tokosha, originally manufacturing medical cutting tools but started manufacturing scissors for barbers in 1921. Years of research and development have resulted in no less than 200 different models for their various markets.
